Our Story
It began with a shoe that didn't exist.
For years, Diana & Jens searched for a single pair of shoes: high-quality enough for the evening, comfortable enough for all day. They didn't find them. So they built them themselves — and that one pair grew into a collection for men and women.
From the inside out.
Most shoes are designed from the outside in — first the silhouette, then the fit. We reversed the process and start with the foot: with the fit, the comfort, and the quality of everything that touches the skin.
Our leather is tanned without chemicals or chrome — soft enough to be worn barefoot. For winter, our models are fully lined with the finest lambskin. And because many people wear orthopedic insoles, the footbed is completely removable. Shoes you can stand in all day — without them looking like they can.
A multi-generational company
Diana & Jens design, Diana's daughter Alexa builds the brand with them. Some of our models bear the names of people who have shaped us — The Karin, for example, after Diana's mother.
Words to walk on.
Every Coast shoe contains a message – embossed in a place only the wearer can find. We believe that the words we carry influence the direction in which we walk.
Where we call home.
The Coast is designed in Heiligendamm on the Baltic Sea, Germany's first seaside resort — white villas, clear sea, a special light. You can find us online and in our two concept stores at the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm and the Kempinski Das Tirol in Kitzbühel.
